About
In 2018 a local parent was looking for Pride month events their queer child could attend in the community. A group of local volunteers stepped up and with the support of the community & generous sponsors, the first ever Delta Pride Picnic was organized and held less than 4 weeks later.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and by the next year what began as a one-time grassroots initiative blossomed into the Delta Pride Society.
We continue to host our annual Pride Picnic and have expanded to include monthly events throughout the community, as well as actively engaging online through education opportunities, events, and resource/support referrals and connections.
Whether you're a member of the Rainbow (2SLGBTQ+) community yourself, or desire to be a supportive & informed ally, we welcome you to connect with us, learn more, and get involved!
